(Olomouc, June 19, 2024) Since the beginning of the year, the Redstone Group has been building a private sanatorium in a strategic location near the Olomouc University Hospital complex. The planned healthcare facility, called Senatorium, will provide Olomouc with the long-term nursing care capacity it currently lacks. Construction is progressing successfully and should be completed in April next year.
In recent weeks, the concrete work on the ceiling structure above the first floor has been completed and the formwork for the vertical structures of the second floor has been prepared. This will be followed by concrete work on the second floor, dismantling of the ceiling formwork on the first floor and from the vertical structure, and the next step will be to measure the window and door openings. Then it will be time for the formwork of the ceiling structure above the second floor and the concreting of the ceiling.
However, construction work is also taking place in the immediate vicinity of the building. In the near future, soil must be filled around the building to a uniform height, i.e., roughly to the level of the upper edge of the ceiling structure of the first basement floor. Excavation work for utility networks, installation of water and hot water connections, including connection to the water supply system, is also planned.
Construction is proceeding without complications according to plan, so the completion date of April 2025 is expected to be met.
The healthcare facility will offer approximately 120 beds for patients in convalescence, after surgery, injuries, and serious illnesses. Once completed, it will significantly expand the capacity of this type of healthcare in Olomouc. It will be operated by Senatorium Olomouc a.s., part of the PHF Senatorium a.s. group, which has many years of experience in providing this type of care and has high-quality professional facilities at its disposal.
