(Olomouc, 12.6.2024) This Saturday, the Mattoni Running Festival will kick off in Olomouc, which includes the traditional Olomouc Half Marathon. Thousands of runners will flood the streets of the city and tackle the challenging 21-kilometer route. A new addition this year is the five-kilometer Šantovka morning run. This year's partners of the popular sporting event, Galerie Šantovka and the REDSTONE group, have prepared an attractive accompanying program for runners and fans. Come and get in the mood for sporting performance or cheering!
"We are proud to support this exceptional sporting event, which brings joy to runners and supporters alike. The whole city will be watching the race all day long, and it is always an attractive spectacle. We will also be actively involved in the program, both through fan zones and directly in the sporting competition. The organizer RunCzech has teamed up with us to create a new race, the Šantovka 5 km Run, which will lead from Horní náměstí through the city center. It starts at 9 a.m. and will kick off the entire running festival," says Petr Hlávka, spokesperson for Galerie Šantovka and the REDSTONE group.
The Šantovka Gallery has prepared a rich program as part of its fan zone, which will be located under the footbridge in front of the shopping center. Visitors can look forward to musical performances, such as saxophonist Milda Pilus, followed by a DJ show. They can relax in the chill-out zone with mixed drinks from ReTrojka and prosecco from Svět Bublin. The program will also include creative workshops ("make your own sneakers"), a bouncy castle for children, and themed competitions on treadmills, where those interested can try out what it's like to run like a marathon runner. In addition, healthy rewards from UGO will be available. Galerie Šantovka Polská 1201/1, 779 00 Olomouc tel: +420 588 883 900 info@galeriesantovka.cz www.santovka.cz
The REDSTONE development group will have its own zone on Horní náměstí. From 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., runners and fans can visit the refreshment corner and chill-out zone. They can also film themselves in the 360° video corner or compete in the wheel of fortune and win drinks or energy cookies.
