Construction of the Pernerka Gallery begins – Pardubice is set for a transformation

At the beginning of April, we began construction of Galerie Pernerka, the largest building project in Pardubice in decades. On the site of the former Hobé distillery opposite the main railway station, we are starting to build a commercial and social center that will offer cutting-edge architecture from the international firm CHAPMAN TAYLOR, retail space including brands not yet represented in the region, administrative capacity, conference facilities, and the first branch of the renowned AC Hotel by Marriott hotel chain in the Czech Republic.

The location is strategically situated at the intersection of road, rail, and public transport, just a few minutes' walk from the historic city center. To increase visitor safety, we will also build an elegant footbridge that will safely carry pedestrians from the area in front of the station over the busy four-lane road.

"We are aware that this is a unique opportunity for the life of Pardubice and its inhabitants, which is why we have approached the entire project with a great sense of responsibility from the very beginning," said Richard Morávek, founder of the REDSTONE development group. "The centers we are building are intended to bring a new quality and dimension that will enrich the existing urban environment with new functions and services. This is also one of the reasons why we continue to manage and develop the commercial and social centers we have built," he added.

SYNER has been appointed as the general contractor for the project, which will transform the former brownfield site into the new social heart of Pardubice based on a design by the renowned company OBERMEYER HELIKA. Immediately after completing the site preparation and necessary utility relocations, the company will begin work on the building foundations.

Pardubice is the city with the lowest retail space per capita among comparable regional capitals. This will change with the construction of Galerie Pernerka. "Galerie Pernerka will be a modern building that will naturally integrate into the area around the main railway station. It will bring not only new shops and offices, but also a hotel, which will revitalize this part of the city," said Pardubice Mayor Jan Nadrchal. We plan to open the first phase of Galerie Pernerka to the public in the fall of 2028.
