Nová Velkomoravská

The revitalisation of a large brownfield site formerly occupied by military repair shops aims to create a new urban district. The site has been completely cleaned up and extensive demolition work has been completed. We have prepared a study on the use of the site, addressing its transport links, internal layout, type of development (block) and possible functional use (architect Lukáš Grasse). The goal is to create a high-quality urban concept that organically connects various aspects of the lives of future residents. The predominant function will be housing, but the multifunctional nature of the project will be complemented by facilities for commerce, business, tourism, public amenities, etc. Due to its location and size, the site is also suitable for infrastructure of city-wide and regional importance. We are therefore intensively preparing a project for a multifunctional sports and cultural hall, the implementation of which we are discussing with the statutory city of Olomouc. The new city district also aims to integrate the left bank of the Morava River into the life of Olomouc, while offering its residents and visitors sufficient green space and high-quality public areas.
