From September 1 to October 3, 2025, the atrium of the modern Envelopa Office Center in Olomouc will be transformed into a gallery showcasing the works of renowned Czech painter Petr Zlamal. The exhibition promises to be one of the main events of this year's autumn cultural season in Olomouc. The grand opening will take place on Thursday, September 4, at 5 p.m., with the artist in attendance.
The patron of the exhibition is Richard Morávek, founder of the Redstone group, who has long supported cultural projects in the region.
"I would like to invite all art lovers to visit this unique exhibition and let themselves be carried away by the powerful impact of Zlamal's paintings. I wish visitors that their inner world will be enriched with new experiences and contemplation on the essential questions of life," said Morávek.
An artist with a distinctive style
Petr Zlamal (born in 1949 in Olomouc) is one of the most prominent Czech painters of his generation. At the age of ten, he won an award at an exhibition in Delhi, India, and at fourteen he held his first solo exhibition at the Oldřich Stibor Theater in Olomouc.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Professor Arnošt Paderlík, where he developed his distinctive expressive style inspired by German Expressionism and French Fauvism. His large-scale works are characterized by strong colors, brilliant drawing skills, and the ability to capture moments and emotions.
Zlamal's work is represented in the collections of the Olomouc Museum of Art, the Czech Ministry of Culture, and many foreign collections from Germany and Italy to the USA and Australia.
Art at the heart of modern architecture
The exhibition at the Envelopa Office Center offers visitors the opportunity to view Zlamal's works in an environment whose simplicity and openness underscore their expressive power. For several years now, the building has been establishing itself as a place where modern architecture and the cultural life of the city come together.
