Construction of a new sanatorium has begun in Olomouc. It will expand the city's nursing bed capacity.

(Olomouc, January 22, 2024) The Redstone Group has launched the construction of a private sanatorium in Neředín. The aim is to offer long-term nursing care primarily to patients recovering from surgery, injuries, and serious illnesses. The healthcare facility will offer approximately 120 beds in mid-2025, significantly expanding the capacity of this type of healthcare in Olomouc. It will be operated by Senatorium Olomouc a.s., part of the PHF Senatorium a.s. group, which has many years of experience in providing this type of care and has high-quality professional facilities at its disposal.

A five-story building will be constructed in a strategic location near the Olomouc University Hospital to address the insufficient capacity of follow-up care beds for the chronically ill in the Olomouc region.  The facility will be called Senatorium, and as the name suggests, it will specialize in serving mainly senior citizens. In addition to above-standard nursing care, they will be able to use the services of a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, activation workers, and nutrition therapist.

In addition to continuous nursing care, patients will be allowed intensive visits from family members and friends, which is a great benefit during convalescence. "Our main priority is to provide quality healthcare accompanied above all by care and respect for patients. The nearest sanatorium that patients can use is now located more than 40 km from Olomouc, which is another reason for the construction, which will be managed by the Redstone development group. The planned project will thus enable the residents of Olomouc to receive full follow-up care in their place of residence and close to their families," says Aleš Kotásek from the PHF Senatorium a.s. group.

The health and nursing services provided will be fully covered by public health insurance. Additional services will be paid for by the patient for each individual day of their stay. "We strive to offer patients care that is tailored to their individual needs. The knowledgeable medical staff who will work here will draw on their experience from the facilities we already operate in Brno, Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek, and Vestec near Prague," added Kotásek.
